Ideal Man in Astrological View

As has been explained in the article titled “Teachings of Astrology” in my works “Some Fundamentals of Astrology”, the Zodiac itself without the planets and mathematical points viz. Dragon’s head and tail which are the significators of different complexes represents the Divine instructions of the Supreme Soul for leading an ideal life in all respects. We shall now try to understand this. At the onset, it may be noted that out of the 12th signs of the Zodiac, four groups of three signs each are controlled by four elements viz. Fire, Earth, Air and Water of which the entire material world is composed. Therefore, in an ideal man, these four elements should equally contribute their characteristics to the individual in his/her self-physical, mental, activities and spiritual to form a balanced personality. This is reflected in the Zodiac symbolizing an individual having no complexes to deviate the self from the ideal path indicated by the Divine Self. The life starts according to Hindu Astrology in the sign Aries which is cardinal, fiery sign of Tamas nature ruled by Mars which gets exalted in the sign Capricorn, another Cardinal sign of Tamas nature but of earthy element. The interesting feature is that the Lord of Aries viz. Mars and the Lord of Capricorn viz. Saturn are bitter enemies of each other. This is because Mars is the representative of youth which has plenty of energy but due to immaturity and youth like emotion. It suffers from hastiness in decision which in most cases yields no fruitful results. For this reasons, Mars requires the guidance of matured brain which is available in an old personality having his lifelong experience of material life represented by Saturn. But Saturn is the ruler of two signs viz. Capricorn and Aquarious. Of these two, Capricorn is the Earthy sign of Tamas nature while Aquarious is airy sign of Rajas nature. Therefore, Capricorn is the fittest sign for Mars to express his energy and activity in the best possible manner in practical activities. Moreover, Saturn is the representative of servants as well as Hermits having no personal desire which is the prime criterion of Karma-Sanyasa as said by the Lord Shree Krishna in “The Shreemodbhagbada Geeta” and this work should be of servicing nature having no ego. Therefore, in all perspective Capricorn is the fittest sign for Mars for getting exalted. In Hindu Philosophy, it is repeatedly said that after millions of births, a man realises himself and then only he wants to return to his origin i.e. The Paramatma. In Astrology, the consequence of any Bhava is judged from the 5th house therefrom. Again, in the physical life a living being finds its consequence through its offsprings. Therefore, a man in his physical being finds his consequence through his offsprings which is judged from the 5th house. The 5th house is also the significator of the deeper level of mind wherein is situated the regards i.e. Bhakti. It has been said in Hindu Philosophy as also in The Vaishnav Padabalis that it is through Bhakti alone that Lord Shree Krishna is available to a person. In accordance with this, it has been said that Vyas Deva after long years of academic culture ultimately took recourse to Bhakti Marga through Shree Modbhagabata. Therefore, the 5th house in the Zodiac viz. the sign Leo ruled by the Sun, the representative-cum-significator of Paramatma in our solar world signifies in the physical level the offsprings, in the mental level, the deeper level of mind having Bhakti therein and in the spiritual level the Paramatma Himself. So, the ultimate goal of a person after long journeys of repeated births realising his ultimate goal of unification with the origin i.e. Paramatma sets aside all His material links for getting united with the Parampurusha i.e. Lord Shree Krishna which has been described in sweet poetic language of Vaishnav Padabali wherein Shree Radha i.e. Jeevatma hearing the sounds of flute of her beloved Shree Krishna throws away all her shame, fear, social respect etc. for uniting with the beloved Shree Krishna. The 3rd sign of the Zodiac is Gemini signified by a couple playing music in instrument. The 3rd house signifies common sense, strength, courage, communication etc. Gemini, the mutable airy sign, is ruled by Mercury termed as child planet in Astrology. The sign is inimical for Mars which is highly significant inasmuch as in our ordinary sense. Mars is the significator of courage and strength. Therefore, the inimic nature of the sign Gemini for Mars signifies that in ideal case, it is not Martial nature which accords the native real strength. But it is childlike simplicity and purity which is the real source of strength and courage unto which all evil forces have to bow down. The 4th sign counted from Gemini is Virgo - a sign also ruled by Mercury but this time a mutable earthy sign and the sign of exaltation for Mercury. Being the 4th house from Gemini, Virgo signifies the house of rest and happiness for childlike simplicity and therefore here Mercury is practical and involved in earthly matters excluding mere inquisitive intellect. The 6th sign signifies natural instincts i.e. Shararipus but in Sattwick modes and therefore it is the sign of debilation for Venus, the significator for all earthly desires related to money and lust signified by the 2nd sign Taurus and the 7th sign Libra both ruled by Venus. This signifies that to maintain an ideal life, the Shararipus instead of being suppressed should be utilised in a Sattwick fashion keeping the earthly desires and lust under control for the establishment of Supreme Lord’s Kingdom on the earth as was done by Shree Hanuman in the Treta Yuga utilising his sacred anger for the interest of his Master Shree Rama Chandra and also in the present era by Shree Shree Ramkrishna Paramhansadeva and also by Param Premomoya Shree Shree Thakur Anukul Chandra maintaining ideal domestic life to set examples before their followers as to how to utilise lust in Sattwick mode for the establishment of Supreme Lord’s Kingdom on the earth. It is to be particularly noted that Venus, the significator of all earthly desires and lust, is exalted in the 12th sign Pisces, a Sattwick dual and watery sign ruled by Jupiter, the Deva Guru. The 12th house signifies expenses, sacrifice for others, freedom from all earthly ties etc. this means that wealth and lust find their best utilisation through sacrifices for the benevolence of others which ultimately leads to freedom from all earthly desires resulting in unison with the Supreme Lord. The 9th sign Saggitarious, the dual fiery sign of Sattwick nature is also ruled by Jupiter. But the difference between Saggitarious and Pisces lies in the fact that while Saggitarious is of Kshatriya Varna i.e. warrior in nature, Pisces is of Vipro Varna i.e. of Brahminik nature involved in academic culture, meditation etc. The 4th house counted from Saggitarious is Pisces which means that the warrior nature of Jupiter is submerged in rest in the water of Pisces and thereby resulting in the arousal of Brahminik culture through meditation as happened in the case of the King Vishwamitra who ultimately turned to Vishwamitra Muni through his untiring Tapasya. The very significant characteristic of the Zodiac is that Jupiter and Saturn have no role in the first two quadrupeds but the 3rd quadruped starting from Saggitarious is ruled by Jupiter and Saturn only. The 9th sign i.e. Saggitarious, the positive sign of Jupiter signifies Dharma i.e. what helps to maintain the Divine creation, Vivek i.e. consciousness, Guru i.e. who enlightens the native arousing the inner vision to find the real path of life course. The 2nd house from Saggitarious is Capricorn, cardinal earthy sign ruled by Saturn. The 2nd house signifies accumulated wealth which means Dharma results in the accumulated wealth in the form of characteristic of Capricorn which being the 10th sign of the Zodiac signifies activities of the native signified by Aries, the ruler of which Mars finds itself exalted in Capricorn the explanation of which has already been provided in the foregoing paragraph. Capricorn is ruled by Saturn which is significator of servant, hermits, depressed and common people etc. The significance of this is that all activities should be for the service of others and without any personal desire of benefits as is the nature of a hermit. The 3rd house from Saggitarious which is also the 2nd house from Capricorn is Aquarious, also ruled by Saturn, but this time it is the positive sign of Saturn, fixed and airy in nature. The 3rd house signifies strength and the 2nd house the accumulated wealth. This means that the strength of Dharma and the accumulated wealth of sacrificing and impersonal activities of the native result in the characteristics of Aquarious which being the 11th sign of the Zodiac signifies earnings of the native in the present birth, both in material aspect as well as in intellectual aspect. But this sign being also ruled by Saturn, the hermit, the earnings of the native as well as the intellectual activities are also for the benevolence of the world. This is exemplified by the life of Karl Marks, the great social philosopher, Shree Shree Ramkrishna Paramhansa Deva etc. The symbol of Aquarious is a man bearing a large pitcher filled with water on his shoulder which means that an Aquarian native has to provide the needs of people suffering from thirst arising out of earthly desires. The last i.e. the 12th sign of the Zodiac is Pisces symbolised by a pair of fish facing each other in a current of water which is a river. The sign is ruled by Jupiter and is a dual watery sign of Sattwa Guna. It is the 4th sign counted from Saggitarious, the 7th sign from Virgo, the 8th sign from Leo, the 9th sign from Cancer, the 10th sign from Gemini, the 11th sign from Taurus and the 12th sign from Aries. It is also the 5th sign from Scorpio, the 3rd sign from Capricorn and the 2nd sign from Aquarious. Being the last sign of the Zodiac, it signifies the end of the journey of a soul in the present birth in an ideal case. Being the 12th sign from Aries, it signifies the drowning of the ego of Mars, the ruler of Aries, in the pleasure of self-realisation or wisdom of Jupiter in this watery sign. Being the 11th sign from Taurus, it signifies the success of accumulated wealth for the sake of benevolence of others. Being the 10th sign from Gemini, it signifies the highest achievement of the intellect of Mercury in the self-realisation signified by Pisces. Being the 9th sign from the Cancer, it signifies the origin of real happiness in life because Cancer is ruled by Moon, the disciple of Jupiter and being the watery sign signifying the sea, it signifies that Deva Guru Jupiter leaving his river- signifying residence in Pisces expresses himself happily in the greater environment of ocean where his disciple Moon accepts him to give happiness to the world. Being the 8th sign from Leo, the royal sign ruled by the creator Sun, the fixed fiery sign of Raja Guna signifies that the king like personality of Leo submerges in the self-realisation of the water of the sign Pisces arising out of the wisdom of Jupiter, the ruler. Being the 7th sign i.e. the house of detriment from the 6th sign Virgo of the Zodiac, it signifies that the earthly desires, commonly termed as Sharha ripus are destroyed in the wisdom and self-realisation signified by Jupiter in the watery sign Pisces. Being the 6th sign from Libra, it signifies that it is the inimical house for the lust signified by Libra and also the house of recovery from the disease originated from this lust. Being the 5th sign from Scorpio, the 8th sign of the Zodiac signifying the house of rest of the soul signified by Leo, it signifies that from rest or sleep, the soul finds itself expressed in the self-realisation in the current of water signified by Pisces ruled by Jupiter. Being the 4th sign from Saggitarious, the warrior sign of dual fiery nature signifying Dharma, Consciousness etc. it signifies the house of rest of the warrior after his continuous struggle against all evil forces in the self-realisation signified by the sign Pisces, the negative or the passive field of Jupiter. Being the 3rd sign from Capricorn, the cardinal earthy sign ruled by Saturn, it signifies the strength acquired by virtue of sacrificing and servant like activities. Being the 2nd sign from Aquarious, the fixed airy sign of Raja Guna ruled by Saturn signifying hermit like meditation for the benevolence of the common people, it signifies the accumulated wealth of this saint- like meditation resulting in the self-realisation awarded by the Deva Guru Jupiter. Thus, in an ideal case it signifies the completion of journey of an individual soul or Jeevatma whereafter it sub-mergers in the realisation of the self identified with the Supreme Soul or Paramatma through the wisdom of Jupiter.
